FAQ

    1. Will each camp attendee spend time with Levon Aronian?

Yes, while Levon will spend a majority of his time working with the top two groups, he will also conduct instruction with the bottom groups as well.

    2. Will lunch be provided?

Yes, a full lunch (which is included in the camp fees) will be served every day from 12:00-1:00 pm for all attendees. It will be served buffet style, including two entree dishes, a salad bar, a side dish, a vegetarian option, a dessert, and a drink. For dietary concerns, please contact info@metrochessla.com

    3. How is group placement decided?

USCF ratings (and FIDE ratings if applicable) will determine placement. Moving an attendee up a section in group (2000+, 1700+, 1400+, 1000+, u1000), may be adjusted at organizer discretion.

    4. Can the camp attendee attend only some days of the camp?

It is possible to attend only some days of the camp, however seating for select days is limited and fills up more quickly. If you wish to register for the camp only for partial days, please contact us directly at info@metrochessla.com.

    5. Can you provide more info about the hotel’s location?

The hotel is located right in the middle of Glendale, and is near lots of restaurants, shops, movie theaters, and more. The Americana at Brand is one of the most popular malls in Los Angeles, and is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Universal Studios is within 5-10 miles of the hotel.

    6. Any other questions?

Please contact us directly at info@metrochessla.com. We’d be happy to field all of your questions, comments, and concerns.

    7. What is your cancellation policy?

If you decide to cancel, we will refund your registration fees, less a $150 cancellation fee as long as said cancellation is before July 3rd, 2014. After that, no registration fees can be refunded.
